Stability Issues Fixed! Empty Stability Issues Fixed!

So, I think I've nailed down one of the major issues that was causing crashes. It had to do with the way the server was being initialized. I've applied a fix, we'll know if it sticks, as we'll have 99% less crashes! For a more technical explanation, keep reading!

Explaining this will make me sound like a doofus, but it might help y'all to understand that the crashes weren't due to bad software or poor server performance. We run our server on a Ubuntu box. Until today, we were opening up shell sessions via putty and initializing the program ourselves. However, the way the server handles that means that we, as users were running the application remotely, and just watching. This is fine, and things run great... Until we end our session. At that point, the server says "Oh, you're done? Alright." and terminates. Cyberman

This meant that Minecraft would come to a dead stop, since there was no one watching it. There's a joke about subatomic particles in here. Anyway. I blanked out on this concept until I was randomly walking around today. I checked the logs when I got home and sure enough, that was the problem. As soon as I ended my session last night (around 2:12) in the morning, the server crashed.

There is a handy application called Screen that's been hanging around the server for a while. I totally forgot about it. Basically, it tells the server to tell itself to run the application pseudoremotely. So, I tell the server to tell itself to run and maintain an instance of Minecraft, and it does this until I tell it to stop. Neat, right? As of now, I've launched the server via screen, and terminated and reopened the session multiple times, and things were still running. Lets hope that's the last we have to deal with it!

Thank you all for your patience on this issue. Except Enk, who was critical and hurtful. Medic
